Application

Smart Broadband Source (BBS) is a customized module based on Dowslake's Smart amplification products. It provides a high power amplified spontaneous emission (ASE) source.

Compared to the smart EDFA for optical signal amplification, the BBS has a terminated input port and the optical path is re-optimized in order to provide a strong and flattened ASE light.

The package of the BBS module can be our POP1025(M), POP1021(T) or POP1040, network management ready equipment for BBS also is available.
